The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States is proposed to be held on May 30, 2025 in the capital of Tajikistan. This was announced by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev on December 12.

"The next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government is proposed to be held on May 30, 2025 in the city of Dushanbe," he said at the beginning of the meeting in Moscow.

According to Lebedev, the leadership of Tajikistan has already agreed to hold the meeting.

Earlier, November 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged not to allow destabilization of the situation in the CIS. The head of state noted that constructive interaction is more important than ever in difficult geopolitical conditions. He also pointed to the need for annual meetings of the heads of CIS special services to discuss security threats and develop joint solutions.
