A suspect in the kidnapping of a man was detained in St. Petersburg


A man suspected of kidnapping a man was detained in St. Petersburg. This was reported on December 12 by the press service of the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the city.
It is established that on the street Italianskaya in the evening of October 17, the attacker attacked a man and forcibly put him in a car. In the cabin of the vehicle, the suspect gave him at least 10 blows to the head, threatened to beat him with a shovel and subsequently stole 280 thousand rubles.
The kidnapper released the victim on the Fontanka river embankment after agreeing not to contact the police.
"The location of the figurehead was established, and he was detained. The car on which he transported the victim and the shovel were seized in the course of investigative actions", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
A criminal case was opened against the kidnapper under paragraphs "c, d, z" of part 2 of article 126, part. 2 Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Kidnapping" and "Robbery"). The defendant is charged, at the moment the issue of punishment is being decided.
Earlier, on December 4, a source told "Izvestia" that three men with accomplices took hostage a resident of Volokolamsk district of Moscow region and extorted 5 million rubles. It was specified that three alleged criminals were detained.
