- AFU commander-in-chief Syrsky pointed to the superiority of the Russian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsk direction

The commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyy, has acknowledged the superiority of the Russian army at Pokrovskoye (the Russian name for Krasnoarmeyskoye). The corresponding message he published in Telegram-channel on December 12.
"On the Pokrovskoye direction, fighting continues with the enemy superior primarily in manpower," he wrote.
Syrsky noted that the AFU has to make non-standard decisions to improve the stability of the defense.
According to him, the battles "are extremely tough." He called the task of the Ukrainian military to strengthen the defense, especially to provide units with sufficient ammunition and their constant supply.
Earlier, on November 27, the AFU General Staff admitted that the situation on the front line is difficult for the Ukrainian army. On November 25, Syrskyy himself said that the Kurakhov direction was the most difficult for the servicemen.
Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko said on November 26 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would not be experiencing such difficulties on the frontline if the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term expired on May 20) had not started to reject the peace agreements signed with Russia in Istanbul two years ago.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
