Boxer Johnson sang the song "I am Russian" on the eve of the fight with Minakov

U.S. native and Russian citizen Kevin Jones on Thursday, December 12, ahead of his fight on the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Superseries" with MMA legend Vitaly Minakov sang the song "I am Russian" by Russian author and performer SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov).

After performing the song, the athlete shared that his muscles and physical shape will help him win the fight.

His opponent Minakov decided to distract himself before the fight and went to the premiere of the movie "Christmas Tree", saying that it is a good psychological release before the upcoming tournament.

A large-scale boxing tournament as part of the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Superseries" will be held on December 13 in the sports complex "Megasport". The main event of the evening will be a duel between MMA fighter Vitaly Minakov and boxer Kevin Johnson. American mixed martial artist Greg Hardy and Russian boxer and kickboxer Alexei Papin will meet in a consensual fight. Also European champion, two-time Russian boxing champion Sergey Kuzmin and professional boxer Solomon Adebayo will enter the ring.

Earlier, on December 1, Johnson said that his fight with Minakov will be like a battle between a fighter jet and a tank. The boxer called his future opponent a war machine. Johnson also compared the upcoming fight to a chess game, emphasizing the importance of strategy, strength, speed, coordination and reaction.
