IS has claimed responsibility for the assassination of a Taliban refugee minister

"Islamic State" (IS, terrorist organization banned in Russia), has claimed responsibility for the assassination of Taliban migration minister (the organization is under UN sanctions for terrorist activities) Khalil Haqqani. This was reported on Thursday, December 12, by the Aamaj News agency.
"The ISIS group announced that Khalil Haqqani was killed in a suicide attack carried out by a member of the group," - said in the publication's report in X.
The day before, The Washington Post reported that the minister was killed in an explosion at the Ministry of Refugees in Kabul. In addition to Haqqani, two other people were killed in the attack.
At the same time, in his message to the publication, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid blamed the attack on Wilayat Khorasan (the Afghan wing of the Islamic State, an organization recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia). "Taliban" faces opposition, as the IS considers the Afghan group "too moderate force", writes WP.
Earlier, on September 2, a terrorist attack in the Afghan capital, Kabul, left six people dead and 13 wounded.
Before that, on August 22, a similar tragedy occurred in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan. At least six students of a religious school were killed then.
