The commander of a tank platoon of the Russian Armed Forces told about a raid on the rear of the AFU in the DNR

In the battles for the village of Shakhterskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), tankers of the Vostok group raided the enemy's rear. They managed to go deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for 8 km and landed assault groups. On the details of the attack "Izvestia" told the commander of such a platoon with the call sign Mexican.

"The enemies did not expect at all that such audacity can be committed. We managed to go to a depth of 8 kilometers. When they came to their senses, everyone who could: Ukrainian artillery, FPV-drones started hunting for us. Seeing that we could not be destroyed, they sent a drone "Baba-Yaga", although they hardly use it during the day. But we came out of there," he reported.

Despite heavy opposition in that battle, the tankers were able to get our assault teams to the right point.

The most important thing for tanks now is to support the advancing motorized rifle units. Talking about these battles, the tankers say that they are constantly under attack by enemy FPV drones.

In one of the last battles, this was exactly the case. They moved to the front line and were attacked by drones, but the tankers continued to help the infantry.

"We launched a powerful fire attack from the get-go, working off the coordinates given. In addition, to advance our attackers through the minefield, we made a passageway, using an anti-mine trawl. We were assisted by the calculation of the drone "Orlan-30", corrected the fire on targets," - recalls the Mexican.
