Kadyrov reports drone shot down over police regiment building in Grozny


An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down in Grozny over the barracks buildings of the special police regiment named after Hero of Russia A.A. Kadyrov of the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic (CR). This was reported by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on Thursday, December 12.
"No one was seriously injured. Light wounds were received by four guard soldiers. The personnel on duty at the time were in premises protected from such attacks," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The head of the region added that fragments of the drone damaged the roof of the building and knocked out window panes. The fallen fragments caused a small fire, which was quickly extinguished. The building was not seriously damaged.
Earlier, on December 4, Kadyrov reported a drone attack by the AFU on the center of Grozny. The Chechen head specified that as a result of the UAV attack, a gas station was destroyed and the roof of a police regiment was damaged. Civilians were also injured.
Before that, on October 29, Kadyrov said that a drone attacked an empty building on the territory of the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes. He specified that as a result of the incident the roof caught fire, there were no casualties.
The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
