The head of the Ministry of Digitalization named the size of the average salary in the IT sector

The average salary in the IT sector in the Russian Federation is now Br185 thousand. This was reported on December 11 by the head of the Ministry of Digitization Maksut Shadaev at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin via videoconference.

"We have for four years the number of employees of IT-companies has increased by 50%. The average salary is 185 thousand rubles," the minister noted.

Shadaev also noted that the gap between the average salary in the economy and in the IT-industry is growing in Russia. According to him, this is an indicator of staff shortage.

Earlier, on December 11, the head of the Ministry of Digital at a meeting in the Federation Council said that by 2030 16 Russian cities will be provided with 5G infrastructure. In addition, he said that by 2030, almost 100% of highways in Russia will be provided with seamless mobile Internet coverage.
