Ded Moroz arrived from Veliky Ustyug in Germany and took part in the ceremony of lighting the lights on the New Year's tree at the Russian House in Berlin on December 11.

"We are very happy. This is the first time we came to any Christmas tree. It is very hard to find, so we are very happy that we ended up at a real Santa Claus," a visitor to the event shared her impressions with Izvestia correspondent Vitaly Chashchukhin.

Despite sanctions, restrictions and other obstacles, Santa Claus managed to come to the German capital. The culmination of the event was the ceremony of lighting the lights on the Christmas tree, which brought together about a thousand participants of all ages.

After the lights on the Christmas tree were lit, visitors were able to take memorable pictures with Santa Claus, who found warm wishes and farewell words for each child.

Earlier, on December 3, it became known that Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug visited the theme park amusement park "Dream Island" within the framework of the charity campaign "Santa's Journey with NTV".
