- Motorized riflemen under the command of Warrant Officer Medentsev took an AFU stronghold

Lieutenant Anton Kokov held back the onslaught of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and prevented a defense breakthrough. On Thursday, December 12, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
As part of a motorized rifle unit, Kokov was carrying out a combat mission to hold an important tactical direction when he noticed an enemy group approaching the Russian positions. He promptly relayed the information to the unit commander and then opened fire on the AFU group, immediately eliminating the enemy grenade launcher. Kokov conducted aimed fire, frequently changing positions. He managed to hold back the Ukrainian military, the positions of the Russian units were preserved.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and determination of Warrant Officer Vladislav Medentsev. He commanded a group of motorized riflemen who were tasked with storming an AFU stronghold.
The motorized riflemen sneaked into the stronghold undetected and surrounded it. Medentsev developed a plan for the assault, taking into account the peculiarities of the terrain. The Russian group opened fire, the beginning of the battle was sudden for the enemy, and the Ukrainian military did not have time to organize competent resistance. Panic broke out in the ranks of the enemy, the AFU abandoned the stronghold and retreated.
The group under Medentsev's command occupied the stronghold and successfully repelled several attacks by the Ukrainian military, who tried to regain control of the point.
Earlier, on December 11, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Sergeant Maxim Botov, acting as part of a motorized rifle unit in the SSO zone, prevented a breakthrough in the defenses, destroying armored vehicles and enemy manpower. The agency also noted the courage and determination of Sergeant Eduard Asadov. A unit of motorized riflemen under his command carried out combat missions to cover the Russian attack aircraft in the capture of the enemy stronghold.
Before that, on December 9, the deputy commander of the platoon with the call sign Khimik, Hero of Russia Alexei Khimenko told Izvestia how he single-handedly fought off a group of AFU fighters during a clash in the village of Bakhmutskoye near Soledar and helped liberate a school in the town from Georgian mercenaries.
