Russian swimmers won the combined relay at the Short Course World Cup

Russian swimmers on December 11 won gold in the 4 x 50 m combined relay at the World Short Course Swimming Championships taking place in Budapest from December 10 to 15.

The team, which competed under neutral status, was represented by Miron Lifintsev, Kirill Prigoda, Arina Surkova and Daria Trofimova.

They showed a result of 1 minute 35.36 seconds.

The second place was taken by the Canadian team (+0.58), and the third place went to the USA (+0.84).

This medal was the second for the Russians at the tournament. Earlier in the day, Lifintsev won the 100m backstroke with a time of 48.76 seconds. Thus, he became the first Russian swimmer since 2021 to win a medal at the world championships.
