There was a disruption in the work of Meta services


Users of the messenger WhatsApp and social network Facebook (part of Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia) have encountered failures. This is reported on December 11 on the websites of DownDetector and "Failure.rf" services .
DownDetector shows that more than 12.3 thousand people sent complaints about the incorrect operation of the messenger, and "Failure.rf" - more than 2.1 thousand users. They indicate that messages in WhatsApp are not sent and do not reach the addressees.
In addition, 90.3 thousand people complained to DownDetector about interruptions in Facebook, more than half of them can not enter the application, and a third - on the site. Another 64.7 thousand users reported to the service that the social network Instagram (also part of Meta) does not work, mostly problems arise with the work in the application.
Earlier, on August 22, in the Center for Monitoring and Management of the public communications network (CMU SSOP) Roskomnadzor reported that at 14:00 Moscow time there was a failure in the work of WhatsApp and messenger Telegram. At the same time, several telecom operators told Izvestia that their network was operating normally. Later, Roskomnadzor said that the reason for the outage was a DDoS attack on telecom operators, which was repelled at 15:00 Moscow time, and all services started working normally.
