Parents accused the former coach of one of the children's hockey teams in the Leningrad region of misappropriation of 1.4 million rubles. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on December 11.

According to the source, the 28-year-old man borrowed money from parents under various pretexts, insisted on buying equipment allegedly at a discount and offered additional lessons. However, no one ever received the equipment.

After the exposure of illegal extortion of money, the suspect was fired from the hockey club. As a result of fraud suffered 10 families, some of whom contacted the police.

It is specified that the coach conducted similar frauds in other cities in the Urals, Siberia and Kazakhstan.

Earlier on December 10, it was reported that a resident of St. Petersburg had been engaged in illegal banking activities for two years, through which he earned about 13.5 million rubles. After searches in his apartment and office found and seized documents, electronic media, money and other items of evidence.
