Russians told about desired gifts for the New Year

More than half (71%) of the surveyed Russians like to give gifts more than to receive them. This is stated in the results of a survey of the perfume chain "LeToile", which were presented to "Izvestia" on December 11. At the same time, respondents most often want to receive perfumes, cosmetics and money from their relatives as a gift.

In addition, 55% of respondents noted the practicality of vishlists and said that they always use them. Another quarter often listens to the wishes of the future recipient, and 12.4% - only sometimes. Also 6.6% of respondents prefer to organize surprises and every hundredth participant of the survey is convinced that he knows what his loved ones need without any hints.

Russians most often choose cosmetics, perfumes, sweets, items for interior decoration, accessories, souvenirs and pleasant trifles, hobby goods, money, clothes, equipment and books as gifts.

The survey participants want to receive from their relatives perfumes (34% of respondents said so), cosmetics (22%), money (20%), equipment (7.4%), items for interior decoration (3.3%), accessories (2.9%), sweets (2.7%), hobby goods (2.5%), souvenirs and pleasant trifles (2.3%), clothes (2.3%), books (1.4%).

Experts found out that Russians prepare for the holiday in advance. More than half of respondents buy gifts a month in advance (53%) and a little less than a third - two to three weeks in advance. Every tenth Russian prepares a week before the New Year, and only 5.8% leave everything for the last moment. There are also those who do not give anything to anyone, such only 0.6%.

Earlier, on December 10, it was reported that souvenirs in the form of a snake are bought more willingly than products with a dragon a year earlier. This follows from the data available to "Izvestia" analytical center "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD". The average check for snake-shaped souvenirs amounted to 483 rubles, the analysts calculated. The number of purchases is higher by 11% compared to souvenirs in the form of a dragon - the symbol of 2024. The most popular souvenirs were figurines, magnets, key chains.
