Vladimir and Daria accused the doctors of Simferopol Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2 of negligence. According to the parents, because of the error of the doctors, their second child may become disabled. About this they told "Izvestia" on December 11.

The girl reported that the pregnancy was going well, the child was healthy. It was planned to carry out a Caesarean section, as her first labor was difficult. However, after the prenatal examination, doctors decided that the birth should be natural, as the weight of the baby did not exceed 3.7 kg.

Before giving birth, Daria was sent for an ultrasound examination (ultrasound), but she did not have time to undergo it due to a large queue.

The girl noted that the attending doctor promised that if something went wrong, she would have a caesarean section. She also complained of a fever.

During the labor, Vladimir noticed the alleged confusion of the doctors. After that, according to him, two people began to press on his wife's stomach with their elbows.

As a result, the baby was born with a weight of 4.8 kg. The newborn was unconscious and was urgently transferred to the intensive care unit.

Doctors, in turn, said that during the delivery, the baby got stuck by his shoulders and was without air for a long time. The couple added that resuscitators were surprised that the infant survived at all. The newborn has two broken ribs and severe brain damage that could leave him disabled.

The family sought help from lawyers and sent a complaint to the Investigative Committee. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea announced the beginning of an inspection on this case.

Before that, on December 6, law enforcement authorities completed a criminal case against the couple Nikolai and Lilia Nikonov, who provided services in Moscow to children with cerebral palsy that did not meet safety requirements.

Earlier, on October 2, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation sent the case of former doctors Elina Sushkevich and Elena Belaya, convicted for the murder of a baby in one of the maternity hospitals in Kalinigrad, for reconsideration.
