Musk joked about melting down the Statue of Liberty for electric pickup trucks

On December 11, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk joked about melting down the Statue of Liberty in New York City for Tesla's Cybertruck electric pickup truck.
"I definitely melted it (the Statue of Liberty. - Ed.) by 1000%," he wrote on his X (former Twitter) page.
Thus Musk commented on the news of Reuters that the information about the publication by CNN about the entrepreneur is fabricated. As reported by the agency, on November 25 in social networks there was information that Musk wants to melt down the statue into a limited batch of Tesla.
Serial production of the Cybertruck began in July 2023, and the first deliveries to customers - in November. On May 2, it became known that Tesla Cybertrack was first brought to Russia, after which it was put up for sale for 36.9 million rubles.
November 13, it was reported that Tesla announced a recall of almost 2.5 thousand electric pickup trucks Cybertruck. The recall is due to a faulty drive inverter, which can lead to loss of traction and increase the risk of accidents, said the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
