Sergunina told about the popularity of the cable car at VDNKh

The aerial tramway has become the most popular attraction at VDNKh since its opening in August, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina. The route includes the main and southern entrances to the exhibition complex, pavilions No. 1 "Central", "Worker and Kolkhoznitsa" and the fountain "Friendship of Peoples".

"From the height of 32 meters, more than half a million Muscovites and tourists have already admired the architecture of VDNKh. At the same time, the opening view changes every season. If in summer the main accent was the fountains, in winter it was the skating rink", - said Natalia Sergunina.

Now it is the longest cableway in the capital, its length is 769 meters. The way from the station "Yuzhnaya" at the main entrance of VDNKh to "Severnaya" (near the fountain "Stone Flower") takes six minutes, on foot - twice as long.

The booths are made in retro-futuristic style and remind of spacecrafts from the works of writer Kir Bulychev. Their design echoes the general style of the Orion amusement park. The cable car operates without weekends.
