More than 18 billion rubles will be additionally allocated for the implementation of preferential car lending and leasing programs. This was announced on December 11 by the press service of the Russian government in its Telegram channel. In total, almost 45 billion rubles will be allocated in these areas in 2024.

People with health limitations, medical workers, teachers, participants of the NWO and their families can get a discount of up to 25% when buying a domestic car. When buying an electric car, the price will be reduced by 35%.

Also at the expense of these funds, companies and entrepreneurs will be able to reduce the down payment when leasing for various equipment - from tractor-trailers to unmanned trucks.

"We expect that such targeted financing will support production in the transportation sector and, of course, in allied companies and will contribute, most importantly, to the renewal of the vehicle fleet in the country," said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

December 4, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that the increase in the key rate and tightening of lending standards made car loans for Russians almost unaffordable.

November 28, it was reported that in the first 10 months of 2024 in Russia were issued car loans worth Br2.02 trillion. This follows from the data of the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI). The largest volume of issued car loans was observed in Moscow (Br160.3 billion), Moscow region (Br134.2 billion), St. Petersburg (Br100.5 billion), the Republic of Tatarstan (Br94 billion) and Krasnodar Krai (Br90.6 billion).
