The state prosecution requested a 21-year sentence for former Belgorod official Viktoria Shinkaruk (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) in the case of facilitation of terrorist activities. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom on December 11.
It is specified that her accomplice Alexander Kholodkov (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) was requested by the prosecutor to 22 years of strict regime colony.
Shinkaruk and Kholodkov are accused of complicity in terrorist activities in the interests of their Ukrainian handlers. It is noted that the defendants transferred funds worth about half a million rubles for the preparation of a terrorist attack.
Shinkaruk and Kholodkov did not admit their guilt.
