Nicaragua spoke about the implementation of projects with Russia in various spheres

Nicaragua and Russia are actively working on joint projects in various spheres. This was announced on December 11 by Laureano Ortega, special representative of the President of Nicaragua for interaction with Russia, at the 6th meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Russia.

"The main areas of our interaction have been and will continue to be the sphere of health care, medical technologies, culture, education," TASS quoted Ortega as saying.

He added that the media sphere is also important.

The most active interaction takes place in the transportation sphere, the special representative of the Nicaraguan president noted.

"I thank the Russian Federation for its assistance and confirm that Russia can always count on Nicaragua as a friendly partner and ally," Ortega concluded.

Earlier, on November 20, it was reported that Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said that the US policy is imperialist and expressed his support for Russia's aspirations for peace.

Before that, in October, Foreign Minister of the Central American country Waldrak Ludwing Jentske Whitaker said that Nicaragua expects that in the future it will be possible to establish direct flights between Moscow and Managua.
