Three children were hospitalized in Derbent as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. This was reported in the press service of the city administration on December 11.

The children were poisoned while staying in the apartment of a multi-storey building on Krasnoarmeyskiy Lane. Preliminary, the cause was a gas leak from the water heating column.

"Three minors aged seven, 11, 16 years were taken to the Central Hospital, where they were promptly provided with medical assistance," - reported "Interfax " in the press service.

It is specified that by the current moment two children from the intensive care unit were transferred to the general ward, one child was discharged.

Earlier in the day, a source told Izvestia that in the village of Volochanovo, Moscow region, an eight-year-old boy with cerebral palsy died, presumably from carbon monoxide poisoning. It is specified that in the house could have accumulated smoke from the wood stove. The deceased was found to have burns on his shoulders and head.
