Production of Lada Iskra will start in the first half of 2025. The sedan model will account for half of the production volume, while the station wagon and the Cross station wagon will account for 25% each. A representative of the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti told Izvestia correspondent about it.

Lada Iskra bodies will be stamped from Russian metal, 70% of parts are promised to be galvanized, including all exterior panels (except the roof). 30 copies of Iskra will come off the assembly line per hour, 11 thousand cars per month and 120 thousand per year.

Currently, the readiness of the Iskra assembly line at the plant is 95%, with body assembly being carried out in test mode. The main conductor of the welding line is designed to produce up to six different bodies. Automation at the start of production will be 25%, later it will be increased first to 40% and then to 60%.

The new Lada Iskra will occupy a niche between the affordable Granta and the more expensive Vesta. The model will be presented in sedan, station wagon and station wagon Cross. Iskra will receive three varieties of power units: a base engine 1.6 with an output of 90 hp, combined with a 5-speed manual, as well as a motor of the same volume with an output of 106 hp with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Earlier in the day, AvtoVAZ demonstrated a business sedan Lada Aura in the specification for passenger transportation. Lada Aura for cabs is available in the basic configuration Premier, which includes 16-inch disks and cloth upholstery seats instead of 17-inch and leather upholstery in the more expensive configuration Status.
