Residents of the Altai Territory are cut off from medical facilities due to the lack of a road bridge across the river. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 11 by one of the rescuers on duty named Vitaly.

Ivan Panchenko, head of the Kamensky district of Altai Krai, told Izvestia earlier in the day that residents were being helped by rescuers to cross the river due to the lack of a bridge. The construction of a crossing requires large resources, which the region does not have. In the Network spread footage of the help of rescuers who carried a resident of the village of Verkh-Allak across the Ob to the city for about a kilometer.

"We have such a situation constantly happens in the off-season. The river froze, the pedestrian crossing was opened. We started moving, we have a rescue post on the left side of the river. We constantly assist in the delivery of patients", - shared rescuer Vitaly.

Vitaly specified that in summer they move along the river on motor boats, and in winter they use a snowmobile if possible. However, this year, according to the man, "the river froze very lousy," so the movement of patients is done on stretchers and sleds.

According to the rescuer, residents cannot get to town and stores, among other things, and transportation by foot crossing can take from 15 minutes to an hour. Vitali added that when the river freezes, it is "impossible" to get into town at all.

"The foot crossing was opened about a week ago. Before that you couldn't walk on the ice, you could only get into the city by electric train. It goes in the morning, around 7 a.m., into town and in the evening, at 10 somewhere, out of town. There is no other way to get there," the rescuer added.

Earlier in the day, the Interior Ministry in Altai Krai reported that two people died as a result of the overturning of a car in a river channel in the Altai Mountains. It was specified that two more people were injured.
