In Moscow region, an eight-year-old boy suffering from cerebral palsy died, presumably from carbon monoxide poisoning. This was reported on December 11 by a source of "Izvestiya".

According to him, the incident occurred in the village of Volochanovo in the urban district of Shakhovskaya. It is specified that the boy was under the care of his 60-year-old grandmother, who abused alcohol. So, the elderly woman drank and fell asleep on the porch. According to preliminary information, during this time in the house accumulated smoke from the wood stove.

Neighbors woke up the sleeping pensioner and, going into the house, found a dead child. The boy had burns on his shoulders and head.

A criminal case was opened against the woman under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").

Earlier, on November 15, it was reported that in the Leningrad region, a seven-month-old baby died after his mother left him alone in the bathtub. When the woman returned, she found the infant in an upside-down position, the child died in a medical facility. A criminal case was opened against the mother under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").
