The Russian Army liberated Daryino and Plekhovo in the Kursk Region

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have liberated the villages of Daryino and Plekhovo in Sujan district of Kursk Region. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 11.

"Units of the "North" troop grouping in the course of offensive actions liberated the settlements of Daryino and Plekhovo," the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, the Russian military defeated 12 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of nine settlements in the border areas of the region.

Over the day Ukraine lost over 200 fighters, a tank, three US Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), six mortars and seven vehicles in the Kursk region. One Ukrainian military officer surrendered to Russian fighters.

The losses of the AFU for the entire time of combat operations in the Kursk border area exceeded 39.8 thousand military personnel. In addition, the Russian army destroyed 235 tanks, 123 armored personnel carriers (APCs), 174 BMPs, 308 artillery guns, 13 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) and 1,111 vehicles belonging to the AFU, as well as a large number of other equipment, including Western-made.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) struck at a concentration of AFU manpower, armored and automotive equipment in the border area of Kursk Region. All targets were successfully destroyed.

The day before, on December 10, the ministry showed the combat work of the Grad multiple rocket launcher systems (MLRS) of the "North" grouping of troops, which as part of combat missions hit manpower, military equipment, observation posts and strongholds of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk border area. The MLRS calculations are in constant movement and work around the clock.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
