Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry reported that units of the "North" group of troops in the Kharkiv direction defeated the formations of the Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the border detachment of the country's Border Guard Service in the areas of Pervomayskiy and Alisovka in Kharkiv region.

In this direction, the enemy lost up to 25 servicemen and two 122-millimeter D-30 howitzers.

Also, the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation improved the position along the front line, defeated the formations of the two brigades of the thero-defense and the brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Velyka Novoselka, Konstantinopol, Vremivka and Storozhevoye in the DNR, the agency added.

In addition, the air defense forces shot down four shells of the US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) and 32 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones.

In total, 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 37559 UAVs, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,725 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1500 multiple rocket launchers, 19,411 field artillery and mortars, 29,138 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
