Producer of buckwheat banned in Belarus works with partners in the country


The manufacturer of buckwheat yadrita groats of the highest grade from Altai Krai, which fell under the ban in Belarus because of the long cooking process, is working with partners to clarify the circumstances. This was reported in the press service of the regional food industry department on December 11.
Earlier in the day, BelTA agency, referring to the register of dangerous products, reported that Belarus banned buckwheat groats of Altai manufacturer Vega Engineering LLC.
"The enterprise-producer is working with its trade partners in Belarus to clarify all the circumstances," the press service told TASS.
It is specified that the reason for the ban of the product was the indicator on the digestibility, which amounted to 29 minutes with the norm of no more than 25 minutes.
Earlier, on December 6, acting Prime Minister of Abkhazia Valery Bganba told Interfax that Russia allegedly banned the import of mandarins, citing the decision of sanitary services. Later, the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor told Izvestia that this information did not correspond to reality.
