- In Buryatia a case was opened after a complaint to Putin about the eviction of the family of an SVO participant

In Buryatia, investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence") after a complaint to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the eviction of the family of a participant of a special military operation. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia on December 11.
On the eve of the meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC), the head of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Committee of Families of Fatherland Warriors" Yulia Belekhova told Putin that in Buryatia the family of a man, who voluntarily went to the zone of the special military operation, is trying to be evicted from the apartment by a court decision. The head of state promised to look into the situation.
"On this fact the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Buryatia are investigating a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence")," - said in a message published in the Telegram-channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed acting head of the investigative department for the Republic of Buryatia Evgeny Lagatsky to report on the progress of the investigation and measures taken to protect the rights of the special operation participant and his family.
Earlier, on December 10, Putin noted the contribution of the HRC in the work to help the participants of the special military operation and their families. Despite the known external constraints and difficulties, the country fulfills all social obligations, the head of state noted.
On December 9, the Russian President signed a decree on payments for participants of combat operations in the zone of the Special Military Operation, according to which disability payments in the amount of 4 million rubles will be received by volunteers who operate on the territory of the DNR, LNR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
Before that, on November 6, in his congratulatory message to the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights on its 20th anniversary, the head of state noted that control over the observance of the rights of special operation participants and their families was the most important area of the structure's activity.
