Sobyanin told about the growth of the number of design companies in Moscow

The number of Moscow companies in the segment of design and interior for three years has increased by 17.6% - up to 21.4 thousand organizations. This was told in his personal blog in Telegram by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin, commenting on the fifth Moscow Week of Interior and Design held at VDNKh.

"Design is not only aesthetics, but also the most important branch of Moscow's economy," the mayor emphasized, noting that the capital's government supports entrepreneurs in this direction.

Moscow Interior and Design Week was held from November 29 to December 2 in two pavilions at VDNKh. The largest annual industry event brought together Russian manufacturers of furniture, finishing materials and interior items. It was joined by 1188 exhibiting companies, more than half of them for the first time. For the whole time the exhibition was visited by 181.5 thousand visitors. For them 180 sessions and meetings were held with the participation of 16 international and 191 Russian speakers.

The best works of the participants, including those under the Made in Moscow brand, will be presented in New Tretyakovka at the exhibition "110 Years of Russian Design".
