Yenakievo authorities in DNR announce voluntary evacuation after AFU shelling


In the town of Yenakievo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the evacuation of residents after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) takes place on a voluntary basis. This was reported by the deputy head of Yenakievo municipal formation Alexander Demenkov on December 11.
The day before, on December 10, the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin said that the AFU attacked the outskirts of Yenakievo with long-range high-precision weapons and used artillery. At the same time, he said that the city authorities had announced the evacuation of the civilian population. He also specified that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.
Demenkov specified that the evacuation was organized in connection with the "arrival" of four Ukrainian shells.
"In connection with the resolution of the administration of the city district of Yenakievo on the emergency situation, the evacuation of the DSC area was organized. Medical service, EMERCOM employees, all power structures are brought to full readiness. "If people have a desire to evacuate, a safe place has been organized where they can rest, (there is) food and so on, everything is organized, everything is in working mode," he told RIA Novosti.
On December 10, Pushilin said that the enemy's attempts to attack Horlivka have no military expediency, but they still do not stop.
Before that, on December 8, it was reported that at least seven people were injured in the AFU attack on buses in Gorlovka. Ukrainian militants dropped an explosive object from a UAV on a bus, resulting in civilian casualties. It was noted that the bus driver took the injured to hospital.
Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
