The average cost of a new car in Russia has been named

The average cost of a new car in November 2024 amounted to 3.7 million rubles. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 11 by analysts of "Auto.ru Evaluation" based on the results of the study of published ads.

Over the past month, the average price of a new car increased by 1% (Br25 thousand). It is lower than January values, although the number of active ads for 11 months has increased by 37%.

The offer consists of Chinese cars by 70%, more than 42% of ads are in the segment of Br1.5-3 million. The list of regions in which the average price has decreased by the end of the month is headed by the Vladimir region. Compared to October values, the price of a new car decreased by 12.4% - to 2.14 million rubles. In Moscow, the average price of a new car rose by 1.1% to 4.73 million rubles, while in St. Petersburg the cost rose by 2.5% to 3.2 million rubles.

"The increase in the average cost among new cars in November was of a limited and restrained nature. The two most expensive models were the hybrid Zeekr 001 (+7.4%, 8.21 million rubles) and Aito Seres M5 (+4.6%, 6.2 million rubles). The rest of the average price growth was less than 4%," noted the analysts.

The most significant decrease in the average cost among new cars was noted in Mitsubishi Outlander, it almost reached 10%, stopping at Br3.75 million. The other places in the top five were occupied by Chinese models Hongqi HS5 (Br4.23 million), Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in two versions (Br2.19 million and Br2.22 million) and Hongqi HS3 (Br4.32 million), their average price decreased in the range of 5 to 8%.

Several factors influence the price increase

Earlier in the day, Alexei Tuzov, an independent transportation industry expert, told Izvestia that demand for new cars in early 2025 may decrease by 10-20%, while car prices are expected to increase by 10-15%.
