In St. Petersburg, a teenager beat up a pensioner and stole a ring from him. This was reported on Wednesday, December 11, by the source of "Izvestiya".

According to his data, the pensioner invited the teenager to his home, where after drinking coffee the young man hit the owner of the dwelling and stole the jewelry from him.

The schoolboy was detained, and the ring was seized. A criminal case was opened under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery with the use of violence").

In response, the mother of the attacker said that the pensioner harassed her son.

According to the source of the publication, the teenager has been registered with the police since October 2024.

Earlier, on September 29, in the town of Oktyabrsky in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a group of teenagers beat up a pensioner and threw him over a fence. The regional Interior Ministry said that the identities of some have been established and they have already been interviewed. The victim did not turn to law enforcement authorities after the incident. A criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed by a group of persons").
