In Altai, two people died after a car fell into a river channel


A passenger car overturned into a river channel in the Altai Mountains, as a result of the accident two people were killed and two others were injured. About it on December 11 reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Altai region.
"The driver and a 37-year-old female passenger died of their injuries during transportation to a medical facility. In addition, medical assistance was needed for two more passengers, men 60 and 33 years old, who are hospitalized", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
It is noted that the accident occurred at about 06:20 near the village of Verkh-Uimon Ust-Koksinsky district. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the car Nissan Sunny was driven by a 26-year-old local resident. The driver failed to cope with the control, after which the car drove off the roadway and fell into the river channel.

Before that, on November 17, a car with three people fell through the ice on the Vitim River in the Irkutsk region. As reported by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the region, the driver and one of the passengers managed to leave the sinking car, another passenger - a 31-year-old woman - drowned. A criminal investigation under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence") has been organized.
