Su-34 crew destroyed AFU personnel and equipment in the border area of Kursk Region


The crew of the Su-34 supersonic multirole fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) has struck a cluster of personnel, armored and vehicle military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 11.
The strike was carried out by aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).
The crew returned safely to the departure airfield after receiving confirmation from intelligence that the target had been successfully hit.
Earlier, on December 8, the Defense Ministry said that crews of Su-35S multipurpose super-maneuverable fighter jets with controlled thrust vectoring of the Russian Air and Space Forces (VSKS) performed air cover for the crews in the border areas of the Kursk Region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
