A D-30 howitzer unit of the Center motorized rifle unit has eliminated a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) stronghold on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 11.

"We are successfully disrupting rotations and ammunition supply <...> On my account four M2 Bradley's have already been hit," said deputy platoon commander Senior Sergeant Denis Andreev.

He also added that the AFU fighters' activity has slowed down and their artillery has become less active. They began to retreat more often, and their morale has fallen due to the active offensive of the Russian Armed Forces.

The artillerymen work harmoniously, having received coordinates from the reconnaissance, they quickly aimed their guns and successfully hit the enemy strongholds. The firing was conducted with constant fire correction by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculations. This allows minimizing the number of shots to eliminate the target.

"Three shots are enough to aim and work on the enemy," noted Sergeant Ilya Gerasimov.

The D-30 howitzer crews work around the clock to be able to accomplish the combat mission in the shortest possible time.

"We are at the gun in advance, on duty, so that there is no delay, so that we can work off the target at once", - specified serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Sorokin Alexander.

After successfully defeating the enemy, the artillerymen camouflaged their weapons and took shelter in dugouts. Combat characteristics of D-30 howitzers allow to effectively strike at the accumulation of AFU personnel and equipment, as well as to conduct barrage fire to support assault troops.

Earlier, on December 3, the Russian Defense Ministry showed the combat work of the crew of the T-72B3 tank of the Center group of troops, which, with a faulty turret, supported assault units and destroyed AFU strongholds on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction in the special operation zone. During the breakthrough of the enemy defenses, the tank was hit by many artillery shells and an FPV drone, which caused the armored vehicle's turret to stop turning. Nevertheless, the crew completed the combat mission to the end.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
