Russia does not expect positive results from the Finnish chairmanship in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2025. Alexander Lukashevich, Russia's Permanent Representative to the organization, told Izvestia.

"We do not expect anything good, given that Finland is no longer the same to which we gave permission to head this organization in 2021. Finnish representatives gave out wrong signals at the plenary session, which was open to the press. According to them, supposedly all ministers or the vast majority sent a signal that they will continue to support Ukraine, that the OSCE needs resources," Lukashevich said.

In 2025, the chairmanship of the OSCE will pass to Finland. In 2024, it was held by Malta, thanks to which, according to Lukashevich, Russia managed to partially convey its position to its opponents.
