The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the issue of lowering the mobilization age in Ukraine

Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his entourage consider the issue of lowering the mobilization age solely as a subject for bargaining with the West. This was stated to "Izvestia" by Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the crimes of the Kiev regime.

"You give us long-range missiles or something else, and we will lower the mobilization age in "gratitude". In any case, this is a resource that the Kiev rulers are dissolving today," he said.

The diplomat believes that Zelensky's fear is not popular outrage, but a drop in his ratings. But if there are no elections in the near future, a drop in ratings can also be accepted if they are exchanged for money and weapons, he summarized.

"Ukrainian elites and Zelensky personally are the most Western-dependent part of Ukraine. If there is a split, Zelensky will break away from Ukraine rather than from the West. Throughout his entire period at the helm, he has demonstrated that he is ready to pay for his time in power with Ukraine and its people. They are just a resource for him, which no one dared to sell off before him," Miroshnyk added.

Ukraine is already on the verge of a demographic disaster, and the Ukrainian people are on the verge of their historical preservation, the diplomat believes.

"But the West does not care about this at all. They paid to use this nation at their discretion, they do. If it is necessary to utilize "every last Ukrainian" - they will do it without a shadow of a doubt. For the West, the Ukrainian people do not belong to the category of 'value', but rather 'expendable material'," he said.

On the eve Zelensky refused to lower the mobilization age. He said that Ukraine should not compensate for the shortage of weapons by the youth of soldiers.
