An endocrinology center and a network of diabetes schools will be established in Transbaikalia

In Zabaikalsky Krai they intend to create a regional endocrinology center and 10 schools of diabetes mellitus. This is reported by the press service of the regional government with reference to the Vice Prime Minister of the regional government Victoria Bessonova.

The endocrinology center will be created on the basis of the regional clinical hospital. The Russian government has allocated 128.2 million rubles to the region for its equipment and equipping of diabetes schools.

According to Bessonova, the schools will be established in seven districts of the region. They have already purchased equipment for diabetes detection and patient monitoring, continuous glucose monitoring systems for pregnant women and children. It is planned to fully complete the equipment by the end of the year, writes IA ChitaMedia.

"And by the end of the year, all those who we need insulin, according to the regional benefit, will be provided. And next year the entire need, taking into account new beneficiaries, will be closed," - also noted the governor Alexander Osipov.
