The body of a drowned fisherman was found in a car that had fallen through a river in Primorsky Krai

In Nadezhdinsky district of Primorsky Krai rescuers found the body of a drowned fisherman on the Smerinka River. The regional EMERCOM Department reports about it in its Telegram-channel.

The day before, December 9, an SUV with a 59-year-old man inside fell under the river ice near the village of Kiparisovo. Divers were sent to the site.

As it turned out, the man could not get out of the car. On December 10, his body was found in the cabin of the car, which was 5 meters from the site of the fall at a depth of about 3.5 meters. The body of the deceased was handed over to the police, writes IA PrimaMedia.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations notes that the thickness of ice at the site of the SUV failure was only about 2 cm. The Ministry emphasizes that it is strictly forbidden to drive a car on the ice.

In November, a car with three people fell through the ice on the Vitim River in the Irkutsk Region. The driver and one of the passengers managed to leave the sinking car, another passenger - a 31-year-old woman - drowned.
