Almost 60% of Russians surveyed decided to put an artificial Christmas tree at home

The majority of Russians surveyed (59%) put up a Christmas tree on New Year's Eve. From time to time this is done by 16% of respondents, and 4% decorate the house with spruce branches. Another 21% of survey participants never put such a coniferous tree at home. This is stated in the results of the research of the analysts of YuMoneu wallet together with the analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD". "Izvestia" got acquainted with the information of experts on December 11.

Of those who have a Christmas tree at home for the holidays, 57% prefer an artificial one, and 39% decorate a live tree. Another 4% decorate an eco tree made with their own hands.

According to "Check Index", the average price of an artificial Christmas tree from November 20 to December 5 was 4260 rubles - this is 14% more than a year ago. During the same period, the number of purchases of such goods increased by 39% year-on-year.

One third of respondents (32%) buy a Christmas tree at a Christmas tree bazaar. Marketplaces are in the second most popular place (23%), and supermarkets are in the third place (18%). Another 5% of respondents cut down a fir tree in the forest, 4% order in nurseries and delivery services, and 1% - from bloggers.

Experts noted that from November 20 to December 5, the average price of garlands was 19% higher than a year earlier and amounted to 587 rubles. At the same time, the average price of Christmas tree toys became 17% higher and amounted to Br745.
