The expert told about the safe storage of passwords in the phone

In the current digital space, protecting personal information is a very important task. Every day users have to memorize many passwords for various applications, websites and other services. Sergey Birzhevoy, a techno expert of the "Take Charge!" service, told Izvestia on December 15. Sergey Birzhevoy told Izvestia on December 15 about how to securely store passwords in phones.
"Special apps generate complex combinations and allow you to automatically fill out forms on various platforms. The password manager creates strong and random configurations for each site, which significantly increases the security of accounts," Birzhevoy notes.
According to him, many services use strong encryption (AES-256), which provides a high degree of data security. It is extremely important to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into the application to protect stored data, as well as do not forget to set synchronization between devices to be able to access passwords anywhere.
In addition, the expert advises to use the built-in features of mobile devices. On IOS phones, you should activate the "iCloud Key Binding" option, which saves passwords, automatically synchronizes them with other Apple devices and protects them with Face ID or Touch ID. For Android devices, there is a similar solution, Google Password Manager, which stores passwords and synchronizes with your account. This feature is available on all devices associated with the account.
"If dedicated password management apps aren't appropriate, use encrypted notes. Phones support features with which you can store important data," said the expert.
The expert also advises to create passwords yourself, based on phrases associated with personal events and memories. It is recommended to alternate lowercase and uppercase letters, use numbers and special characters, follow the rule of uniqueness of passwords for each site and update them every few months.
"Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security that will protect your account. <...> Even if someone steals the password, it will be impossible to access the account without the second factor of authentication," Birzhevoy summarized.
Earlier, on December 9, Anton Bochkarev, a member of the expert council of the "Cyber Test" project, told Izvestia about how to protect data in companies. According to the expert, one of the most frequent mistakes on the Internet is the use of passwords that are easy to guess or weak.
