Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the Kremlin. This was announced by the Russian leader's spokesman Dmitry Peskov on December 10.

"Vladimir Putin received in the Kremlin Indian Defense Minister Singh, who is in Russia on a working visit," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov also took part in the meeting, the Kremlin website specified.

Earlier in the day, Rajnath Singh said that India had decided to develop cooperation with Russia even in the face of geopolitical challenges and enormous public and private pressure. According to him, the relationship between Moscow and New Delhi has shown resilience and is developing in circumstances of countering geopolitical challenges.

On the same day, Belousov said that the military-to-military interaction between Russia and India is successfully developing in multilateral formats and on a permanent basis. According to the Russian defense minister, the key role in strengthening cooperation between Russia and India is played by the trusting relationship between the leaders of the two countries.

The head of the Indian Defense Ministry arrived in Russia on an official visit the previous day, the embassy of the republic in Moscow reported in its Telegram channel.
