Su-35S provided air cover for the air crews of the All-Union Air Force in the Kursk border area

Crews of Su-35S multipurpose super-maneuverable fighters with controlled thrust vectoring of the Russian Air and Space Forces (VKS RF) have performed air cover missions in the border areas of the Kursk Region. Images of the combat work were published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 10.

"In the course of combat missions, crews of Su-35S multipurpose fighters practiced air cover in the specified area of operations of bomber and attack aircraft, as well as helicopters of the army aviation when carrying out air strikes on armored vehicles and personnel of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine. - Ed.)," the defense ministry said in a statement.

It also added that with the help of a complex of aviation weapons was detected object of air defense (air defense) of the enemy.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the Grad multiple rocket launcher systems (MLRS) of the "North" group of troops destroyed positions with personnel, military equipment, strongholds and observation posts of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region.

At the same time, special forces of the Rosgvardiya destroyed an enemy pickup truck in the Kursk border area. A UAV was used to detect a vehicle that was transporting infantry to the line of contact. As a result, the driver and the AFU personnel who were in the vehicle at the time of the strike were eliminated.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
