Russian Railways to resume passenger traffic with China and DPRK


"Russian Railways" will resume passenger service with China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). This was announced by the company on December 10.
"The international trains No. 402/401 Suifenhe - Grodekovo of the Chinese Railways formation and No. 645/646 communication Tumangan - Hasan of the DPRK Ministry of Railways formation are resumed," the company said in its Telegram channel.
Railway communication with China will be resumed from December 15 and will run daily. The train will depart from Grodekovo at 17:43 local time (10:43 Moscow time), in the opposite direction - at 10:00 local time (05:00 Moscow time).
With the DPRK the connection will resume a day later, on December 16, and will run three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The train will depart from Khasan station at 15:30 local time (08:30 Moscow time), and in the opposite direction - at 12:00 (06:00 Moscow time).
Passenger traffic between Russia and the PRC and the DPRK was suspended in 2020.
Earlier in the day, Russian Railways reported that passenger trains from Primorsky Krai to PRC and DPRK were approved in the new train schedule of the Far Eastern Railway (FER). At that time it was specified that the passenger train schedule was first adopted for a three-year period - from 2024 to 2027.
