The Moscow Regional Court has sentenced a former employee of the state machine-building design bureau Raduga, Sergei Korotkiy, to two years and three months in a general regime colony for unlawful influence on the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestia" on December 10.

He was also banned from professional activities for 2.5 years.

At the enterprise Korotky was engaged in thermal calculations of advanced models of missile weapons.

According to the investigation, when the man was dismissed from "Raduga", he used a computer without the permission of the system administrator of a closed telecommunications network to erase one terabyte of information containing not only personal data, photos and correspondence, but also some calculations necessary for the production of missile products.

Earlier, on August 14, the Ust-Ilimsk City Court sentenced the 33-year-old hacker to a criminal punishment of three years' imprisonment suspended with a probation period of three years and a fine of 540 thousand rubles. The convict unsuccessfully tried to hack the websites of social facilities in several Russian regions five times from 2020 to 2022, some of these organizations belong to the critical infrastructure of Russia. The man pleaded guilty in full.
