Putin assessed the possibility of returning grades for behavior in schools

Assessment for behavior in schools in case of its return should be equal to other grades. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 10.
"If the behavioral assessment will be returned, it is necessary that it should influence something. <...> It should be equivalent to other assessments," the head of state said at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (CDHR), commenting on the initiative to return behavioral assessments.
According to Putin, this issue should be discussed in order to solve the problem of disrespectful behavior of individual students with the help of a comprehensive toolkit.
In May, employees of the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing, based on the results of the monitoring of value orientations of young people, proposed that the Ministry of Education work out and put up for discussion the issue of introducing behavior grades in educational organizations.
In June, a similar proposal was made by Valery Fadeyev, head of the HRC. Commenting on the initiative, Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov said that the ministry is not against the introduction of such a mark, but it is necessary to define the criteria for it.
Alexander Snegurov, an honored teacher of the Russian Federation and a candidate of psychological sciences, expressed his opinion in a conversation with Izvestia that the return of behavioral marks will not have a proper effect, since the problem of student behavior should be addressed in a more systematic way.
