Serial production of BAZ trucks will start in 2025


BAZ trucks were presented at the Comtrans exhibition in Moscow, Izvestia correspondent reports on December 10. Their serial production will start in 2025.
"At the beginning of next year we intend to pass certification of these vehicles. In the second half of the year their serial production at the plant in St. Petersburg is scheduled," Mikhail Veselkov, head of the group of transport axles of the chief designer's department of Romanov JSC, told Izvestia.
He noted that at the moment the localization level of the vehicles is 97%. The trucks are equipped with domestic engines, gearboxes and axles, he specified. It is planned to produce a whole line of all-wheel drive trucks, including chassis, tractor-trailer and dump truck.
Thus, the BAZ-35F11 truck tractor received a diesel engine YaMZ-653.1 with an output of 367 hp (1800 Nm), which works with a manual nine-speed transmission YaMZ-1909 with a demultiplier. The suspension is independent, there are inter-axle and inter-wheel locks. GVW is 36 tons, payload - 22 tons.
Earlier in the day, the group of companies "Modern Transportation Technologies" (STT Group) presented a line of new generation buses with the capacity from 6 to 107 passengers at the Urbantrans exhibition in Moscow and Valdai commercial vehicles produced in Nizhny Novgorod at the Comtrans exhibition.
