The launcher of the Russian rocket launcher "Oreshnik" is manufactured in Belarus. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on December 10.

"In "Oreshnik" the entire launcher is Belarusian. Except for the missile. Localization is the highest," BelTA agency reports the words of the Belarusian leader.

He added that the republic is ready to cooperate with Russia in the production of missile launcher, noting that Belarus has enough competence in this regard.

In addition, the Belarusian leader notes that Russia will supply "Oreshnik" to the republic for free in the second half of 2025, while they will make the launcher for the missile themselves.

Earlier, December 6, the Belarusian leader asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply the country with Russian complexes to launch "Oreshnik".

December 7, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces Sergei Lagodyuk said that the decision to deploy the Russian complex "Oreshnik" in Belarus was taken against the background of the U.S. and German position on the deployment of medium-range missiles in Europe.

Putin announced the combat test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile, one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, on Nov. 21. He emphasized that the move was in response to the escalation by Western countries in Ukraine. In the following days, the head of state specified that Russia would continue these tests and that the decision on the serial production of the missiles had already been made.
