A gas explosion in a residential building in the center of Makhachkala was so strong that not a single whole wall was left in the apartment-epicenter. Izvestia publishes a video of the aftermath of the explosion on December 10.

The footage shows broken glass in the apartment, some walls collapsed and others cracked. On the floor scattered foam blocks, of which the walls were erected, and small stone chips. All the furniture is broken.

Izvestia correspondent Muslim Bekmurzaev added that some neighboring houses were also damaged, and the injured man suffered burns to 60% of his body. The second injured person is a child with minor injuries.

An explosion in a residential house in Makhachkala occurred earlier in the day. The republican department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that window panes were damaged in the house. In the footage from the scene, people gathered near the house and surrounded, presumably, the victim. In addition, filmed the arrival of operational services - police, firefighters and ambulance.

The Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia reported that two people were injured, they were hospitalized with burns, an investigation has been launched. The regional Emergencies Ministry specified that one of the injured was a man born in 1980. Aval Salikhov, deputy head of Makhachkala's Department for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations, added that the residents of the house will be provided with places in a temporary accommodation point (TAC) or organized to hire housing at the expense of the administration two months in advance.
