Russian Defense Ministry reported a strike on 12 AFU brigades in Kursk region

The Russian army has defeated the formations of 12 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kursk Region over the course of the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said on December 10.
These results were achieved by the Northern Group of Forces in the areas of Guevo, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka and Sverdlikovo.
Artillery and aviation strikes also hit enemy manpower and equipment in the vicinity of a number of other settlements.
During this period, the AFU lost more than 200 servicemen, eight armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and two mortars in the Russian region. In total, during the fighting, the losses of Ukrainian fighters in the Kursk region exceeded 39.6 thousand military personnel.
Earlier in the day it was reported that calculations of multiple launch rocket systems "Grad" of the group of troops "North" destroyed positions and observation posts of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region. For the purpose of rapid response, MLRS together with drone operators successfully carry out the assigned combat tasks in round-the-clock mode.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
